"Sunrose" is a carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) produced by carbomethylization of a highly pure cellulose material. It is an eco-friendly material that is harmless to humans and offers gradual biodegradability.
We have developed the new "Sunrose SLD", an ultra low-substituted CMC which offers both the properties of powdered cellulose and CMC by applying moderate carbomethylization.

Basic Characteristics

• Swells with cold or hot water without dissolving, offering a mild viscosity
• Superior dispersion stability or disintegrative properties in water
• Prevents caking on other suspended particles, as well as re-dispersion
• Offers superior fiber strength attributable to cellulose
• Offers superior water absorption, water retention, shape retention, cellular stability, and emulsification stability

Applications

Food:	Beverages (cocoa, juice with dietary pulp or fiber, etc.), soups (corn, ramen, miso, consomm), sauces (dressing, ketchup, mayonnaise), jam, yogurt, whipping cream, fillings, disintegrative agents in tablet form (dietary supplements, etc.), dried goods (instant noodle, pasta), ice cream, edible film, soft candy, and other food byproducts
Cosmetics:	Powdery foundation, foundation, facial scrub, facial pack, facial cleansing foam, facial cleansing cream, mousse, shampoo, soap, lotion, hair dye, hair bleach, mascara, eyeliner, etc.
Daily goods:	Tooth paste, various cleaning agents for kitchen, dishwashing, bathtub, tile, and automotive use, cat litter, pet food, air freshener, toilet-bowl cleaning sheet, hydrolytic sheet, non-woven cloth, etc.
