[Chemical name: Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC)] SUNROSE® is a product name for carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) used by Nippon Paper Industries Co.,Ltd. CMC is an anionic, water-soluble polymer derived from cellulose that features unique properties of outstanding adherence, water absorption, and water retention. Moreover, because SUNROSE is naturally derived cellulose, it offers slow biodegradability and can also be incinerated after use, making it very environmentally friendly. We have recently released two new product lines of SUNROSE, the MAC Series and F350HC-4. Ideal for ensuring paints and varnishes achieve a smoother and glossier finish, MAC Series' CMC-solution features undissolved gel-particles of smaller size, greatly reducing the incidence of streaking and pinholes. Additionally, even in anti salt solutions F350HC-4 offers outstanding viscosity characteristics; in fact, dissolving F350HC-4 in highly concentrated anti salt solution will increase its viscosity even more. Grades and Properties of SUNROSE®SUNROSE® is available in five grades as listed below, and for each grade there is a variety of products suited for various applications. Included are grades compatible with food additive standards, dietary additive standards, cosmetic grades and grades suited for industrial applications for use as thickeners, bonds and binders, as well as water absorbing/retention agents.
